  • Extra Small is specially made for newborns with a more narrow velcro style strip at the front of the diaper and a low rise in the front. The top front of the diaper can be folded over to accommodate the umbilical cord before it falls off. Folding over the front of the diaper reduces the overall rise measurement to about 11".

  • Three layers of super absorbent micro terry absorb a lot while still providing a trim fit. BumGenius All in Ones are only about 1/4" thick (they will be thicker on your baby where the diaper fastens).

  • Unique stretchy sides and velcro tabs make this diaper easy to put on even an active baby. The suedecloth inner is easy to clean and resists staining. Fold back laundry tabs help out during the wash so your diapers get cleaner without the velcro picking up lint or sticking to other diapers.

  • Can be washed in hot (up to 150 degrees) water. Since the soaker material is micro terry, they will dry more quickly than other All in Ones. With a shorter drying time you will save time, money and extra wear on the waterproof (PUL) outer. Please dry on medium to enhance the life of the micro terry.

  • Since the micro terry is encased between the soft inner suedecloth and the outer PUL, it does not pick up any lint in the washer or dryer.

Washing BumGenius:

  • Wash dirty diapers every other day.
  • For best results, remove solids from diapers before storing in pail (a diaper sprayer is helpful).
  • Wash cold with 1/4 cup detergent. A detergent labeled residue free is highly recommended with all microterry products.
  • Wash hot with 1/4 cup detergent.
  • If you have a front loader, decrease detergent amount to 1/8 cup.
  • Follow with a second rinse. Microterry fabrics need to have all detergent residue removed each time or the diaper may get stinky with use.
  • Tumble dry on the medium setting.
  • Use only detergent and water. Once per month, you may use up to 1/4 cup of bleach in the hot wash cycle (step 4).
  • Always use detergent that does not contain perfumes, dyes, whiteners, brighteners or enzymes.
  • Do not use laundry additives (including vinegar, baking soda and fabric softeners).
  • Do not soak your diapers.

At first I loved these because of the ease and the incredible trim fit but....they take way too long to dry and they have a musty stinky odor in them after using a couple of times. I do not have that problem with any of my other brands. If you are looking for a trim fit than I recommend fuzzi bunz - quick drying too. Also, I love the micro fleece the best cuz it keeps babys bottom drier longer.

I also have the oder problem, they smell clean from the dryer but as soon a he pees it stinks like amonia, I have to change him every time he pees. Im really unhappy with this product.

I'm having the odor problem too. I have stripped them per company instructions but after the next washing they smell and don't absorb as well again. Very unhappy!

I love the Bumgenius and have found, after talking to many people who also use them, that if the diaper isn't working as well, it's probably user error, not diaper error. I have a front loading HE washer and have to rinse the diapers an extra time or two to completely get rid of all the detergent. If your diapers aren't as absorbent, you probably still have a detergent buildup. Try doing an extra rinse or two after you wash them and see if that helps
