Bio-soft liners are flushable diaper liners that make clean-up a breeze – this product is the perfect compromise between convenience and cloth diapers. No more rinsing poopy diapers in the toilet! Bio-soft liners absorb newborn solid waste - and then you simply discard the soiled liner in the toilet and flush away the mess. They are non-irritating and ever so soft and comfortable against baby's sensitive skin. Bio-soft liners are made of a non woven material with no binder, and will degrade very quickly (within 8 days in a sewage treatment system or 20 days in a septic tank). They are 100% viscose rayon, a cellulose fiber derived from natural sources. 100 sheets per roll. Each infant sheet is approximately 12 X 5 inches. Toddler size is 12 x 7.5 inches. Flushing of any biodegradable diaper liner may cause blockage in old or damaged drains and in sensitive septic systems. Please shake poop into the toilet and let the soiled liners soak a few minutes in the toilet before flushing just so that the liners absorb water and break down a bit before they are released into the septic system. These liners are made to degrade very easily compared to most flushable liners. We do not recommend that you attempt to wash Bio-soft liners after use as they tend to fall apart in the wash.Made in England
Will a heavier diaper really absorb more?
*These diapers may shrink 15-25% after washing. To prevent any moisture transfer, a cover is required with this diaper.
Lots of babies only use up to the medium size before they are potty trained so you will have less covers to buy. These covers usually fit most kids well. If you just cannot decide which cover to buy, try the Bummis Super. The large and extra large size with a toddler prefold are great for older toddlers and children who still need a diaper at night. These wraps work with prefold or fitted diapers. They work best with 100% cotton or bamboo diapers. If you want to use unbleached diapers with these covers, you need to make sure that the diapers have been well set up first. Machine wash and dry. In Ivory (velcro or snap) and prints. Extra Large available in white and white snap only.
Diaper Cover Quick Guide
For all the velcro covers, you are looking for waist and leg measurements that fall in about the same place in the range. When trying to decide upon a cover size, start with the suggested weights and then see if the waist, leg and rise measurements of your baby fall into the range of that cover. If you start with the measurements you may end up with a cover that is way too big. The smallest leg measurements were taken when the cover was fastened on the smallest waist setting. If your baby’s waist measurement is on the lower end of the range and the leg measurement is on the higher end of the range, the cover will probably be too tight at the legs. An exception to that seems to be the Bummi Super. The leg gussets are not sewn like the other covers and seem to be more forgiving. Made in Canada by Bummis.
Each Bummis brand cover is sized a little differently. Please check measurements before you order.
Natural diapers! All styles of diapers are available in natural (aka unbleached). These natural diapers are very soft and have a more fuzzy look to them until they have been used for a few months. They are a little heavier than the white diapers. They also take longer to shrink. The diapers are not dyed to look natural - their color is just what unbleached cotton looks like. Natural diapers need more work to get them ready for use. They need to be soaked and/or washed in hot water in order for them to absorb properly. Each time that they are washed, use detergent. They need to be dried in the dryer after each wash load. If you have your water heater turned down for safety, turn it up for this load. Don' t forget to turn it back down afterward. If you have a smaller capacity washer, don’t overload it with natural diapers when you are getting them set up, they need some room to agitate. Natural cotton has natural waxes on it. The bleaching process gets rid of the wax on the white diapers, but you have to take care of it for the natural. The color of your Natural Diapers may vary from batch to batch.
Which size should you buy?
White or Natural? The white diapers are easier to set up. A couple of washings and you are set. The natural may need more washings at the start to become really absorbent. I won't be able to tell you how many soakings/washes it will take to get the natural ready for use. It depends on the detergent and the hardness of your water. In my very soft water and Arm & Hammer detergent it took three washes followed by an overnight soak. You may need to use boiling water on the diapers to get them set up. Harder water seems to work better. After about a month of use the white are a tiny bit softer because of the bleaching process. The natural are more durable though and will last longer. The natural also hide a stains a bit. If you line dry your diapers, the natural are a bit softer. If you have never used cloth diapers before and want to get started right away, my suggestion is to get the white diapers. I have found that in their haste to get going with cloth some new users don't get the natural diapers set up enough and then get frustrated because they don't seem to be working right.

We want cloth diapering to be affordable!
We calculate our shipping rates by weight and destination. Prefolds are heavy and the shipping cost can really add up, especially for those shipping to a different coast. For some orders we can package your order in a Postal Service Flat Rate Box or their Large Flat Rate Box. If you have ordered prefolds and only a few other small items that will fit into a Flat Rate Box our shopping cart will show you a "Prefold Saver" shipping option that will save you some money over our Standard Rate which only calculates weight/distance. If you live closer to us, you may not see this option since your rate by weight is less expensive than the Flat Rate Boxes.

You should use a swim diaper only while in the pool. It is not made to take the place of a regular cloth diaper or cloth diaper cover (you can put a prefold on there on the way to the pool, the swim diaper can act as a diaper cover for a short amount of time). Machine wash and dry.Note: This is not a diaper in the sense that we use the word diaper on the rest of the website. Kushies uses the word diaper in the product name to be consistent with the disposable types. It does not however act like what we think of as a diaper - that is cloth in some form that absorbs.
All swim diapers (disposable included) are made to keep poop in the diaper and out of the pool. Even the disposables don't absorb pee. If you think about it, they couldn't absorb anything or when you got in the pool they would just absorb the pool water until the diaper was full.

100% super soft cotton flannel, no raw edges to irritate tender skin. Also great for use as burp cloths.

This terry organic diaper is very absorbent and is easy to use. It has the simplicity of use of a contour diaper, but it features elastic at the legs to keep messes where they belong. It can be used will a pull up cover when fastened (with a snappi) or unfastened with a velcro closing cover. There is a sewn in flap that can be folded to give extra absorbency where it is needed most. The flap also allows the diaper to dry more quickly.
Imse Organic is a form-fitting diaper made of ecological cotton inspected by Skal*. This diaper has an excellent fit with soft elastic at the legs. It is available in a size that fits about 8 lbs. to 38 lbs. and in Newborn for a less bulky fit on your recent addition. It is very absorbent diaper and is excellent for use at night. For smaller babies the larger diaper can look a little bulky and we recommend the use of a pull up style cover.
To adjust the rise down for smaller babies just fold the back down.
Absorbency (Infant/Toddler) Absorbency (Newborn)
Size 0 is specially made to actually fit a newborn. It has a snap down feature in the front so that your baby's umbilical cord can heal without being irritated. After the cord heals you can unsnap the front and use the second row of snaps as your baby grows.
The inside soaker layers are made with a layer of woven cotton to provide stability and to distribute wetness all throughout the diaper. There are also two additional layers of Kissaluvs super thick terry inside. This is not skimpy 'baby' terry. It is the same super thick and absorbent terry that they use on the outside of the diapers and their fleece/terry liners.
The super soaker Kissaluvs washable liners will not fit into the size 0 diapers, but the booster size will.
Like most fitted diapers these work best with pull up style diaper covers. For newborns and up the Bummi Pant fits well. Depending on your baby, you may be able to use the Prorap Classic or the Bummi Super. Just make sure (especially on your newborn) that all of the diaper is tucked into the cover.
Like all unbleached/natural fabrics these diapers need to be washed in hot water before they will become absorbent. The manufacturer recommends that they are washed and dried at least four times before initial use. They will continue to get more absorbent the more that they are washed until they are totally broken in.
Kissaluvs have a lifetime snap attachment policy. If a snap ever comes off, they will fix it free of charge.
