Diaper covers that use snap fasteners can be more secure than velcro closing diaper covers. Most babies have a more difficult time getting the snaps undone.
Snap closing covers do offer a less custom fit than velcro closing covers. They have stretchy fabric that allows for a little give within snap settings.
When washing snap covers, you don't have to worry about the fasteners sticking to anything else or collecting lint in the wash.
