Kushies diaper wrap is designed to be used with your Kushies Classic
or Basic diaper. For use
with prefolds, it's better to use a Snappi
to keep the diaper in place. Because they are cut fuller than most diaper covers
they tend to sag a little in the back when used with a prefold diaper that
has not been fastened.
Kushies wraps are made out of a polyester backed vinyl fabric which is very
durable. They fasten in the front with velcro. The gusseted legs are elastic covered
in a soft poly/cotton fabric. Elastic along the back. Machine wash, hang
dry. Kushies wraps come to me in presorted packages of prints and solids.
Because I get a random assortment, specific color and print choices are not
available.
For all the velcro
covers, you are looking for waist and leg measurements that fall in about
the same place in the range. The smallest leg measurements were taken when
the cover was fastened on the smallest waist setting. If your baby’s waist
measurement is on the lower end of the range and the leg measurement is on
the higher end of the range, the cover will probably be too tight at the
legs.
Author: Unknown These work fine with the Kushies Basic and Kushies Classic diapers. I don't recommend them for use with a prefold unless you fasten it with pins or a snappi as the diaper tends to sag.
Author: Unknown I found that the hook and loops did not last as long as most covers that I have. The cloth tape used around the edges and legs wicked up the moistur casing leakes. The cut and style where very nice and keep the diapers in place nicely.I think that this cover whould work better for a child that is a light wetter.
Author: mmtilley@... I tried several different diapers and wraps and all-in-ones during my baby s first few months. I settled on the snug-to-fit diaper and the Kushi wrap as the absolute best performing diaper and wrap, then also for the money. Although it is a 2-step process
Author: Ann (Byron, GA) These are great for babies with chunky legs like mine. It's true that the trim can wick a little, but I've had this problem with other similarly priced wrap covers. The way to prevent wicking though is to use very thick diaper service quality prefolds and a snappi, and also to be sure and tuck the cloth in at the legs. I have even had success in using them at night if I use a hemp doubler along with the prefold. They are very roomy covers, so there is plenty of room to pack in the layers of diaper and doublers, etc. The flexibility of the material makes them fit through several stages of growth. I have used the same diaper covers for 6 months now, and they are still in great shape and fit well. However, I always make sure to close the velcro before washing in the machine, and hang them to dry. It probably helps that I only wipe the inside with a baby wipe if she has just wet a little. I love these covers, and I will buy more when she gets to the next size.
