| The original Kushies diaper has 8
layers of 100% cotton flannel plus an inner waterproof barrier. They also have the same built in flap as the Kushies Ultra Diaper. Soft leg elastic
and adjustable hook and loop fastening closures ensure a snug fit. Machine washable and
dryable. This is a very soft and absorbent diaper. Since they have a waterproof barrier built in, you should be able to go for an hour or so without any leaking. Some parents find that they don't need a cover at all but we recommend when you try one of these diapers (at least at first) you should use an Bummis pant, the Prorap Classic, the Bummis Super or the Kushies wrap. Most babies may need to have a cover on the Kushies Classic all of the time to prevent leaks, although some moms tell me that they don't ever use a cover with this diaper. The Infant size will not fit your newborn - it its really too big. It will start fitting most babies when they are around one month old. Kushies diapers come to me in presorted packages of prints and solids. Because I get a random assortment, specific color and print choices are not available. Made in Canada by Kushies. When trying to decide upon a diaper size, start with the suggested weights and then see if the waist, leg and rise measurements of your baby fall into the range. Check the rise on the diaper that you are interested in, it will help in being more accurate on where the waist on that diaper will fall on your child and if it will fit into the cover that you want to use. If you start with the measurements you may end up with a cover that is way too big. For all the fitted diapers, you are looking for waist and leg measurements that fall in about the same place in the range. The smallest leg measurements were taken when the cover was fastened on the smallest waist setting. If your baby's waist measurement is on the lower end of the range and the leg measurement is on the higher end of the range, the diaper may be too tight at the legs.
To prevent any moisture transfer, a cover is required with this diaper. |

No fuss waterproof nylon pull up style pant. Soft nylon lycra binding at the waist and legs.
Biodegradable and Flushable. These liners make changing time easier by keeping poop from sticking to the diaper. Also acts as a stay dry liner.
Two layers of soft polyester knit with waterproof laminate in between. An easy fitting cover that works for most kids. Velcro (Prints and White) and Snaps (White only).
These diaper covers provide the easiest fit for Kushies diapers. A roomy cover that easily goes over most fitted and one-size fitted diapers.
Trim fleece topped micro terry liners provide extra absorbency for nighttime or when you need extra time between changes during the day. About 5.5" wide by 12" long.
Kushies lightweight taffeta wrap provides a nice fit for Kushies fitted diapers. Also works well with most fitted diapers.
A nice absorbent fitted diaper. You can use them without a cover for a little while, but for most kids I recommend using a cover at all times for driest results.
Author: UnknownThese diapers just did not have a good fit for my little one. We had a lot of leaks in the leg area. There are more versatile diapers out there. Also the absorbancy was not that great.
Author: krwyatt@...I didn't start using cloth diapers until my daughter turned one. I have only tried the Kushies brand from Jardines.I have the AIO's as well as the Basic and the Classic Kushies. My daughter weighs 22lbs and is 30" long. She is of average build. I purchased the toddler size for 22-35lbs to be safe. I love the Classics right now. They last for 3-4 hours with only an extra Kushie liner in them-but I do use a Kushie wrap. That's the only wrap I've tried and it seems to work well.
Author: Jedi4plus4@...I like these diapers. The inner waterproof liner makes them stay dry a little longer than other fitted diapers but they do need a cover eventually. I've used these for my toddler. I like the fit. I don't use them overnight. I'm not sure if they will contain runny poop if used on an infant.
Author: chelseaI HATED these diapers. I bought A LOT of them, and I think I can remember two or three times that they didn't leak. Even as a newborn my baby would soak right through them even with two or three flannel liners and the covers leak if they get to wet, and the leg elastic is aborbent so you stil have to change the cover and the pants if they were touching the elastic.
I used other brands after and never had this problem.
