Imse Vimse cloth sanitary pads are made of pure natural cotton, which allows you to feel secure and fresh. They offer your body soft, airy and natural menstrual protection, even the larger sizes are not much thicker than a disposable pad - and without that nasty sticky tape.
When used in conjunction with the DivaCup,
you have a great monthly system.
Imse Vimse pads are thin, smooth and absorbent.
You spare the environment and save money, since sanitary napkins of cloth can be washed and rewashed for many years. These pads are really economical and are thoughtfully made with overlock stitching to keep the pads thin, a small plastic snap that you cannot feel, soft fabric and a moisture barrier in the two larger sizes. The all cotton pantyliner is great for backup use with a DivaCup, light days or for everyday use.
You will find that you need to change your pads about as often as a disposable pad. So see how many disposable pads or tampons you are using each day. Add it up and that is about how many pads you will need for your entire cycle.
If you are using the pads as backup for the DivaCup, you will only need a few pantyliners. Figure out how often you want to wash them and you will have an idea of how many that you will need for your entire cycle (e.g. 2 regular pads and four liners a day + one long pad and liner a night; washing every other day you would need 4 regular pads + 8 liners and 2 long pads + 2 liners total). After you try one, you will find it is easy to figure out when they need to be changed. You may want to get an extra to carry in your purse or in the car. Sold in economical packs of three in three different sizes.
Rinse in cold water after use (you can use our Deodorizer Spray or Stain Soap ) or soak in a pail of cold water with some salt. Don't use bleach. Dry on medium or hang dry. You can wash them with your regular laundry if you want.
Author: Karyn, (Ft Lauderdale, FL) It took me a while to get used to cotton pads, but now I can't imagine using anything else. I have not had to buy pads for the past three years!
