bumGenius! Bamboo Fitted Diapers are made of bamboo terry inside and out with soakers made of three layers of thick, fluffy and absorbent micro fiber terry. This ultra-trim fitted diaper has hook & loop closures with cross-over tabs for a good fit.
The Newborn size is specially made for your newborn with a low front to keep the umbilical cord area dry.

Bamboo grows quickly and easily without the need for pesticides or fertilizers. It has an amazingly silky texture and offers more absorbency than a cotton diaper of the same size. Bamboo fabric has natural antibacterial elements to help keep your diaper pail less stinky in-between washes. Like any natural fabric, bamboo gets it's absorbency from micro-gaps and micro-holes along the length of the fiber. This fabulous absorbency needs structure to help the diaper keep it's shape and be as durable as possible. Most bamboo textiles use polyester woven with the bamboo fiber for structure and stability. Cotton Babies uses a 80% Bamboo / 20% Poly blend for a diaper that keeps it shape wash after wash. For a trim, snug fit the inner soaker is fluffy micro terry.

• Extra Small is specially made for newborns with a more narrow velcro style strip at the front of the diaper and a low rise in the front. The top front of the diaper can be folded over to accommodate the umbilical cord before it falls off. Folding over the front of the diaper reduces the overall rise measurement to about 11".

When trying to decide upon a diaper size, start with the suggested weights and then see if the waist, leg and rise measurements of your baby fall into the range. Check the rise on the diaper that you are interested in, it will help in being more accurate on where the waist on that diaper will fall on your child. If you start with the measurements you may end up with a cover that is way too big. For all the AIO diapers, you are looking for waist and leg measurements that fall in about the same place in the range. The smallest leg measurements were taken when the cover was fastened on the smallest waist setting. If your baby’s waist measurement is on the lower end of the range and the leg measurement is on the higher end of the range, the diaper may be too tight at the legs.

Washing BumGenius:

• Wash dirty diapers every other day.
• For best results, remove solids from diapers before storing in pail (a diaper sprayer is helpful).
• Wash cold with 1/4 cup detergent. A detergent labeled residue free is highly recommended with all microterry products.
• Wash hot with 1/4 cup detergent.
• If you have a front loader, decrease detergent amount to 1/8 cup.
• Follow with a second rinse. Microterry fabrics need to have all detergent residue removed each time or the diaper may get stinky with use.
• Tumble dry on the medium setting.
• Use only detergent and water. Once per month, you may use up to 1/4 cup of bleach in the hot wash cycle (step 4).
• Always use detergent that does not contain perfumes, dyes, whiteners, brighteners or enzymes.
• Do not use laundry additives (including vinegar, baking soda and fabric softeners).
• Do not soak your diapers.

Diaper Cover Quick Guide

The top front of the diaper has an insert stop feature to keep any wetness from wicking onto clothing. For newborns, the top front of the diaper can be folded down to keep the umbilical area clean and dry.

Three snap-downs on the front of the diaper allow adjustment of the rise as your baby grows. Rolled out leg casings to keep the poo in and to help keep red marks away! Super stretchy, ultra gentle leg and back elastic.

Will a heavier diaper really absorb more?

Hemp fiber is one of the longest, strongest and most durable of all natural textile fibers. Products made from hemp will outlast their competition by many years. Hemp is also naturally resistant to mold, mildew and ultraviolet light.

Made from 2-3-2 layers of luxuriously soft organic 55% hemp / 45% cotton fleece, these prefolds are up to any task, from being pinned, folded in thirds in a snug fitting wrap, or as a pocket diaper stuffer.

Wash in hot and dry three times before use. We do not recommend the use of a snappi with these diapers as the Snappi hooks pull on the fabric too much.
